Reflex Packages are another way to group your character's settings. What makes packages different from groups? You can export packages to share with other characters and friends.

What are Reflexes? Reflexes are any type of settings you create for the character that may be automated or assist you when playing a MUD game in the Nexus client. This includes any aliases, triggers, and other means to speed or streamline information received or sent back to the game.

For example, you may create a package of triggers and aliases used for bashing mobs in the game. You can then export these settings to share.

The following steps detail how to create, edit, export, and import reflex packages.

How to Create a New Reflex Package and Add Reflexes

Step 1: Open the menu and create a Reflex Package

You may access the Reflex Package options by opening the setting menu and clicking on the 'Reflex Packages' button. The settings menu may be accessed by clicking on the gear icon in the bottom right corner of the Nexus client.

Decide on a package name and click the "Add Package Button".

Step 2: View Package in List

Once you create the package, it is automatically displayed in the reflex package list. You can edit the description for the package if you wish.

Step 3: Add Reflexes to a Package

Now that you have a package, you will want to add reflexes to it. ```Note that it will NOT delete the existing reflex.``` It will make a copy of the reflex and then add it to the package you select. You will then have two copies of the reflex.

Check the Reflexes to Add

Exit the "Reflex Packages" by clicking "Back". You should now be back to the main Settings menu. Click on the "Reflexes" option in the settings menu. You add individual reflexes to a Reflex Package from the "Reflexes" settings window.

Click Add to Package

Select the reflex or reflexes you would like to add to the previously created package. Click on the checkbox next to the name of the reflex in the left hand menu.

Select Package and Confirm

Once you have selected the reflected you would like to add to the package by clicking on the checkboxes, you will notice a button beneath the reflex list labelled, "Add to Package". Just click this button and those reflexed will be copied and added to the package.

Note: The original reflex is not deleted. A copy is made in the selected package.

Editing Reflexes in a Package

Editing reflexes in a package is as simple as editing any other reflex.

First, you must navigate to the "Reflexes" settings, NOT the "Reflex Packages" settings.

  • Click on the dropdown menu under 'Reflex Packages' (Note this is in the top left of the Reflexed Menu)
  • Select the package you want to view and edit.

You will only see the reflexes listed that have been assigned to your selected package now.

Downloading a Package

You can download a package in order to save it as a backup, use with other characters, or share with your friends.

To download a package, just click on the small download icon on the Reflex Packages menu. It is located to the right of the package description, next to the delete button.

``Note that the file is saved as a .nxs file. This is short for 'Nexus'.``

Exporting Reflexes a New Package

You can also alternatively export specific settings to a .nxs file in three easy steps. This will 'not create a new package' on your system.

Step 1: Checkbox the Settings

To begin click the checkmarks next to the settings you wish to have in the package. You do this in the "Reflexes" menu, just like when you are adding reflexes to a package.

Step 2: Click Create Package

Once you have checked everything, click the 'Export selected' button located beneath the list of reflexes.

Your browser will automatically download this as a .nxs package. In Chrome, it will appear at the bottom of the browser. This may be different depending on your operating system and browser.

``Note that the file is saved as a .nxs file. This is short for 'Nexus'.``

Importing a Package

Importing a package is a drag and drop, one-step process. Simply navigate to the 'Reflex Packages' settings and drag the .nxs file to the 'Import Reflex Package' area. The package will now be listed in your Reflex Package list. The reflexes will work automatically with your client.
